Caring for Children

It is the responsibility of Hopscotch Children’s Nurseries to provide a safe, structured and calm environment for the children who attend our nursery settings. This is to ensure their well-being is protected and they are safeguarded at all times but also that they have the chance to develop and flourish in the best possible way whilst attending Hopscotch.
Day-to-day responsibilities for implementing these policies and procedures in individual settings lies with the Nursery Manager and their staff team. Wider responsibility for ensuring these policies and procedures is properly implemented across the business sits with the Hopscotch Head of Operations, reporting into the Managing Director. These responsibilities and reporting procedures are further set out in other sections of our Health & Safety Manual.
The health, safety and wellbeing of all our children is paramount and is our priority at all times. Failure for staff to follow any of the above policies and procedures could result in disciplinary action being taken against them.
All Hopscotch staff members accept responsibility and take accountability for implementing these policies at all times during their employment with Hopscotch Children’s Nurseries. Any failure to do so without good reason could result in disciplinary action being taken. All references to the EYFS relate to the most recent statutory framework published by the DfE, currently effective from 4 Jan 2024, with further edits 1 Nov 2024.
